Bleeding Piles Treatment

When it comes to medical conditions you will find that piles is one of the most joked about conditions.  Those who have to live with it are not laughing at all though as it can be a very painful condition.  If you have to deal with piles then you will no doubt be looking for treatments or ways to deal with hemorrhoids.  There are plenty of ways to treat this condition and get things under control.  The type of treatment you will need will depend on how severe your case is.

Home treatments

Most people are embarrassed if they have problems with hemorrhoids and it is because of the embarrassment that they do not seek medical advice to help get things under control.  If you are one of those people then you will want to look into home treatments such as taking a sitz bath.  This is where you sit in a bath with warm water to help reduce the amount of symptoms that you have to deal with.  You can do this several times a day for immediate relief.

You diet can actually help you with the symptoms of piles.  Increase your daily fiber intake and the amount of fluids that you drink so that when you have a bowel movement there will be no straining.  Straining to have a bowel movement can cause the veins to rupture and bleed which will make the pain and itching worse as well.  The easier you make the bowel movements, the easier it will be to get rid of the piles.

Over the Counter treatments

There are plenty of over the counter treatments that can help give instant relief.  Most of these come in the form of creams, ointments, suppositories and medicated pads.  These help to reduce the inflammation in the area fast and they help to fix the problem over a period of time.  They will help to cool the area down and put an end to the burning and itching that comes with piles.

Seeing the Doctor

If you find that none of the home treatments or over the counter treatments are not working then you may need to seek the advice of a medical professional.  You doctor can prescribe stronger creams and medication to help get rid of the piles.  If these are still not doing the trick the doctor may decide that surgery is the best option for you. If you opt for surgery, then you will have the piles surgically removed to where you do not have the situation to deal with at all but many do not like to go the route of surgery.  It is best to try other methods for your piles before you turn to surgical removal.
